The company has recently completed its 4th contract spanning some 12 years with the ADF providing a team of codifiers to assist the National Codification Bureau (NCB) with its NATO Data Codification requirements using MC Catalogue. Epica now has a contract under the Major Service Provider (MSP) model to enable the continuation of its service to the NCB. Epica’s client roll includes various Australian Defence Bureaus, System Program Offices (SPO’s), Units as well as the broader Defence Primes e.g., ASC and BAE.
The company has also serviced overseas clients through the export of its Codification services. One of its most significant offshore project successfully completed in 2012 ending a 3 Year contract providing codification and cataloguing services to the NCB of the South African National Defence Force.

Epica has also serviced the client’s data requirements of well over 50 companies or government entities since its inception including the Codification needs of the ADF and Primes. Arnold has a career background as a Supply Consultant covering all areas of inventory, warehousing, purchasing and cataloguing. His experience was honed as a Supply Officer in The RAAF for 20 years and then in private industry including manufacturing and mining. His career is built on the experience gained by hands on application which enables him to readily assimilate to the client’s requirements. The last 23 years include the provision of cataloguing consultancy services. This covered training and data systems analysis to ensure that the data facilitates and optimises the functionality of the host system to provide real productivity gains. He is a member of CIPS Australia.
Andrew (Andy) Brittain has an extensive background in Defence Codification Services having being involved with NCB’s in the UK, Spain, Australia and South Africa. Andy started his career in the British Army as an instrument technician with the Royal Electrical Engineers. Following his military service Andy has been involved with the NATO Codification system as a practitioner, team manager and managing consultant. With the advent of increased Defence spending Codification and Cataloguing services Epica views the addition of Andy’s skills and experience as fundamental to the development of future business.
